	'''Topic 2 My Best Friend'''<br>I’m not a very sociable person. To my mind, it’s not necessary to have a lot of friends in order to be happy. It’s enough to have one or two friends who are able to understand you and to support you in difficult situations. So, there are few people whom I can call my friends.<br>My best friend’s name is Helen. She is 15 years old. We have been friends for 7 years already, since she came to our school. Helen is tall and good-looking with big grey eyes and long fair curly hair. She has a round face and a turned-up nose. She wears spectacles and when spring comes there are plenty of freckles on her cheeks, forehead and nose. But it only makes her pretty in her own way.<br>Helen has a dog and spends a lot of time training it and taking it for a walk. She also enjoys reading books, especially detective stories and novels. Her favourite writers are Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle. <br>Helen and I have much in common: we both like English and History, music and dancing. Both of us are fond of sport. We go in for tennis and often go to the tennis court together. We are football fans and we like to watch and discuss football matches on TV or go to the stadium.<br>We spend a lot of time together. We often watch films, play computer games or listen to music. Sometimes we go to the cinema or walk around the city centre, visit small cafes, art galleries or shops. We talk for hours about all sorts of things: politics, love, sport, school. We discuss films, television programmes, books. She is very clever and amusing and she always cheers me up when I am depressed because she has a great sense of humour.<br>I like my friend because she is honest and kind, but she can be impulsive and stubborn at times. She is a reliable person and you can be sure she will never let you down. <br>We never quarrel with Helen. But if there is some misunderstanding between us, we try to make peace as soon as possible. What I like best about Helen is that she is always ready to help and share her knowledge, thoughts and feelings. I respect Helen for her fairness, strong will and modesty. I miss my friend when we don’t see each other for a long time and I feel lonely and uncomfortable without her.
